A classic Australian afternoon tea loaf that is sure to satisfy everyone in the family.
45g Melted butter
115g Sugar
1 tsp Mixed Spice
1 tsp Bicarb Soda
½ cup Water
1 Egg
190g Wallaby Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Salt
200g Chopped Dates
50g Raisins
60g Chopped Walnuts
Helpful hints
Try soaking the raisins and walnuts in brandy, marsala or rum for 2hrs before making the loaf.
